Cocoa Collective, a brother and sister team, crafting artisan chocolate on the North Norfolk Coast.
There’s Charles, the (not so) little brother and the creative brains behind our chocolate collection.
And there’s Sarah, our chocolate maker and all-round doer of things.
We set up Cocoa Collective in 2020 after wanting to progress from our successful confectionery business, The Fudge Company, which ended up selling so much more than just fudge!
We’ve honed and perfected our chocolate, hot chocolate and artisan confectionery products and have spent months and years crafting our recipes to ensure they deliver on flavour and quality.
We really hope you love eating our chocolate collection as much as we love making it.
In 2015, John decided to venture into the unknown and suggest the idea of the family Vineyard. The green light was given and research began in earnest. Laura passed an intensive vine-growing course at Plumpton College – the UK wine research centre. Laura and Samantha have both passed WSET (Wine and Spirits Education Trust) Levels 1 & 2 and Laura has just completed WSET Level 3.

Terry is the father of Beth Cork. He invented the original (now known as) Norfolk Raider Cider recipe nearly 40 years ago. With the help from a couple of close friends, the cider was born. The original cider was strictly for friends and family only, mainly due to its very high alcohol volume and its great taste, of course. Luckily the cider today won’t make you weak at the knees so quickly but still contains the same great taste.
The home of Essence Conserves and Marmalades, Montys Mustards and Chutneys and our Beetella healthy Chocolate Spreads (I know, such a thing does exist!)
Everything from our condiment world can be found right here, from winning the 2018 Pride of Norfolk award to The Old Dairy opening. Dive right in and see what we have to offer!
The Black Shuck Gin story began during the Summer of 2011, when Patrick and Sarah Saunders together with their children Leanne, Nicola and William had a dream to start their own business. The original aim was to have a family project which could supplement their pensions in the years to come. Little did they know that in 2017 later both Sarah & Patrick would be working on the business full time.
The West Barsham Estate in North Norfolk, home to the Barsham Brewery, is steeped in farming heritage. Susanna Soames’s family have owned and farmed the land here for generations. In an area renowned for its top quality agricultural soil, North Norfolk’s sea air and unique micro-climate help us produce some of the best malting barley in the world.
During 2020, while the rest of the country was baking bread, we were baking dog biscuits. Our family and friend’s dogs all enjoyed being our tasters and not a single treat was snubbed by a wet nose. At this point we knew we were onto something special.
We took the time to perfect our recipes and before we knew it, we had our own little lady that has been enjoying our creations ever since. Now we feel we are at a point that we can provide a range of wholesome biscuits that all our four-legged friends will love
